She describes herself as a middle-class woman who’s aware of her duties towards society. This awareness led her to work towards the emancipation of women & children from the labour classes. She worked towards helping them receive education, vocational skills & develop a sales network or channel for them to buy & sell goods made by them to make them financially independent & self reliant.
What’s more, she also realized the just like children, even the elderly need looking after, as well as a place where they can enjoy some fun & laughter. With this, she formed what she calls a ‘Playgroup for Grandmom & Granddad.’
A man who is so at-one with nature, that he spends most of his time around rivers, hills, farmlands, trees, gardens, mountains. So much so, that for him the Konkan coastline & the Himalayas don’t seem to be located very far from one another!
