Hello everyone! Don’t let this lockdown wear you down. Here are a few recipes of homemade face packs/masks that you can make from ingredients that you will find on your kitchen shelf. Nothing like self care and self love to lift up your spirits during these testing times! Don’t worry, this too shall pass. Until then, pamper yourself 🙂
Pro tip: Leave any face pack/mask on your skin for 20 minutes, and wash off with lukewarm water.
- Honey & Turmeric Face Mask
Mix together 1 tsp. of honey and 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder. Apply this homemade face pack liberally on the face and neck for an instant glow.
2. Honey & Tomato Mask
Grind 1/2 a tomato and mix this tomato paste with 1 tsp. honey to prepare a skin-tightening mask.
3. Masoor Dal, Haldi & Honey/Yoghurt Face Mask
Mix together 1 tsp. masoor dal powder, 1/2 tsp. turmeric, 1 tsp. honey or yoghurt (dahi) for an effective tan removal homemade face pack.
4. Tulsi, Honey, Masoor Dal & Haldi – Antibacterial Body Scrub
Grind together 4 tulsi leaves, 1 tsp. of honey, 1/2 teaspoon masoor dal powder and 1/2 tsp. of turmeric to prepare an effective antibacterial body scrub.
5. Papaya & Honey Skin Tightening Face Mask
Mix together 3 tsp. of papaya pulp with 1 tsp. of honey. Instead of honey, you can use the same quantity of milk cream or yoghurt (dahi). This is a very effective skin tightening homemade face pack.
6. Khus Khus & Almond Exfoliating Face Pack
Soak 1 tsp. of khus khus and 1 tsp. of almonds overnight. The next morning, grind them to make a fine paste. Add either 1 tsp. of honey or 1 tsp. of yoghurt (dahi) to this mixture and apply on the face. This is an excellent protein/exfoliating homemade face pack.
